If you’ve not been to a casino in Wolverhampton for some time then you may be surprised to see that there is no Rubicon casino anymore. However, it’s not really gone, it's simply been rebranded and remodelled and it is now called Casino 36 Wolverhampton. Now offering customers gaming and entertainment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it seems to have been a welcome change to the city centre. For those that remember, it used to be housed in a dour redbrick property that was rather factory like. It’s still there but the exterior has been covered and whilst it's still rather dull from the outside, it does look less industrial like and a lot more modern.
One thing we did like about Casino 36 was the fact live gaming is available 24 hours a day. Not all casinos offer this, so it is a nice touch in a place like Wolverhampton where you may not expect it. As well as a good bar and grill in the casino, it also has its own bookies, which is not that common in UK casinos! It boasts a 23-foot video wall and it’s good to see modern casinos like this diversifying their offering in this way. All-in-all, if you’re in Wolverhampton and want to experience a casino, you could do a lot worse than Casino 36.

Food and Drink
The casino’s Thirsty Sports Bar and Grill offers drinkers and diners the chance to watch an array of sports on HD TV screens whilst drinking or dining. The menu on offer is as you would expect and offers a somewhat straightforward choice of food. You shouldn’t expect fine dining but if you do eat here, you’ll find the food to be honest and well-proportioned and you can tell it's freshly cooked which is good.
For those wanting to relax in more salubrious surroundings, there is a VIP Champagne Lounge where you can indulge in a range of Champagne, premium beers, the finest wines and some amazing spirits.
